Shamrock Rovers F.C. today welcome the news of the award of a Sports Capital Grant of €149,448 towards the installation of LED Floodlights on our grass pitches at our Academy facility at Roadstone.

The announcement was made by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht Sports and Media and the club wish to thank Minister Catherine Martin, Minister of State Jack Chambers and Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Michael McGrath, for their support. We also acknowledge the support received in the application from the FAI facilities dept and, of course, our partners at Roadstone Group Sports Club.

We have developed the Academy greatly over the last number of years and only recently opened our Indoor Astro & Gym in Roadstone. This latest development will further enhance the facility and give the club more room to develop areas of football, such as our Women’s section, in the near future.

Shamrock Rovers has invested over €1m in infrastructure development at the Academy to date as we strive to provide the best training and playing facility for our players from underage teams to the first team.
