Was everyone really pleased with another three points at UCD on Thursday?

Yes, I thought in the first half we were very good. We obviously scored three quick goals, maybe could have added a couple more and we’re happy with the clean sheet. So we’re happy with the three points and the performance.

Jack’s cross for that goal was excellent and how good was Rory’s pass for Danny to make it 2-0?

Both are brilliant passes. Jack’s was a good cross for Barry and Rory’s pass was fantastic, with the outside of his right foot. He left it on a plate for Danny to finish so it was fantastic from Rory.

Rory himself scored the third goal and then you were able to throw on some fresh legs, including young Kieran Cruise, who made his first appearance of the season…

Kieran played for us last year and he’s been doing well with the Under 19s. It was good to get him on the pitch. We felt with the busy schedule that it was important to keep the team fresh and I thought Kieran did well.

Rovers looked very comfortable in the second half but would you like to have added more goals?

Of course, you’d always like to add more goals but 3-0 away from home and a clean sheet, with a busy schedule of three games in a week. You take that, you move on and you’re happy.

Drogheda recently secured their first win in a while. What sort of opposition are they on Monday in terms of threats they could pose?

I saw them on Friday against Finn Harps and they had a good win. It was a difficult game between two teams that were trying to cancel each other out but they came out on top. It was a good win for them and it’ll give them a lot of confidence coming into the game. We saw with the three goals that they scored that they have some good players in the attacking part of the pitch.

It was two tight 1-0 wins up here last season so they certainly won’t make it easy for us to continue this unbeaten run we’re on?

Exactly, they won’t make it easy at all. It’ll be a difficult game like all games in this league are. We’ve just got to make sure that we respect that and we’re ready for whatever they bring to the game.

Jack Byrne had to come off early on Thursday. How are Jack and Lee Grace looking for Monday and will anyone be missing?

Jack and Lee are fine. Pico Lopes is suspended, other than that everyone else is OK.
