Bio:

Hailing from the small village of Clonaslee, Co. Laois, Emily (20) played underage football for Killeigh Schoolboys and Girls Soccer Club before joining the Academy ranks at Athlone Town.

Emily made her first team debut for Athlone Town against Shelbourne in March 2021, at the age of 17. It was at the Midlands club where Emily enjoyed a rich vein of form, scoring 23 goals in all competitions during the 2022 season, a feat which saw her named the League’s Player of the Year and feature in the SSE Airtricity League Team of the Year, in just her second season in senior football.

Emily played a key role in helping Athlone achieve a second-place finish in the league and a runners-up spot in Athlone Town’s first ever FAI Cup Final appearance in 2022, before making the move to Ferrycarrig Park ahead of the 2023 season.

One of the most exciting young talents in the country, Emily has also been capped for the Republic of Ireland at U17 & U19 level.

All at Shamrock Rovers F.C. welcome Emily to the Club and look forward to seeing her in action for the Hoops in the coming weeks.
